FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
April 16, 2025
Phoenix, AZ – Certify Canine is proud to announce its official partnership with Phoenix Children’s Hospital (PCH) to provide evaluation, certification, and ongoing support for the hospital’s Animal-Assisted Therapy (AAT) Volunteer Program.
This collaboration reinforces both organizations’ shared commitment to safety, excellence, and compassionate care through the power of the human-animal bond.
Through this partnership, Certify Canine will support the AAT team by:
- Conducting professional evaluations for therapy dog-handler teams
- Ensuring each team meets standardized behavioral and temperament benchmarks
- Offering ongoing consultation and resources for volunteer success
“Our mission has always been to uphold high standards for working dogs while honoring the profound role they play in healing,” said Blake Woody, Founder of Certify Canine. “To partner with Phoenix Children’s—an institution known for excellence in pediatric care—is an incredible honor.”
Phoenix Children’s Animal-Assisted Therapy Program brings comfort, emotional regulation, and moments of joy to patients and families during their hospital experience. By integrating trained therapy dogs into care environments, the program supports clinical goals through evidence-based canine companionship.
Together, Certify Canine and PCH are raising the bar for therapy dog standards in pediatric healthcare—ensuring that every wag, nuzzle, and moment of connection is backed by safety, trust, and expert care.
